Liza recently wrote an article about over-indulging in alcohol during the holiday season. Good stuff, definitely worth another read.
It got me thinking about the more common type of over-indulging: FOOD. Thanksgiving, a day dedicated to chowing down, was just a few weeks ago. We tell ourselves that it's only for one day, but unfortunately for some of us, we keep on going all the way through New Year's Day.
So now is when I would usually give little tips about eating healthy: load up on veggies, drink plenty of water, beware of calorie-laden drinks, etc.
But you know what? It's the holidays, so go ahead and over-indulge a bit! Have an extra sugar cookie, or a big heaping of mashed potatoes and gravy. The holidays are meant to be enjoyed, so go ahead and enjoy them.
(But try to have an extra serving of fruit and get in a bit more movement if you can)
